National Medicinee Policy Mid-Term Review Workshop Proceeding Book (Cover, Content)

The implementation of the Malaysian National Medicines Policy (MNMP) is the responsibility of all related stakeholders. For its implementation to be coordinated, there needs to be a Master Plan of Action produced and agreed upon by all stakeholders. The Master Action Plan has to have indicators which can be monitored and these indicators will need to be reviewed and evaluated on the 6th year of implementation.

The Pharmaceutical Services Division will be organizing a workshop to discuss and brainstorm on the activities, indicators and targets that will make up the Master Action Plan. The workshop will be held on 28-30 July 2009 and all relevant stakeholders will be invited for the workshop. The objectives of the workshop are:

1. To develop an execution plan for the implementation of the  MNMP

2. To develop a monitoring system to ensure coordinated implementation by all stakeholders, and

3. To identify and form relevant committees to evaluate the achievement of the MNMP.

Expectation from Workshop Participants

All relevant agencies and organisations have been identified and invited to participate in the discussion and brainstorming session. All officers/participants selected by their agency/organisation are requested to provide feedback on the Master Action Plan to this Division. The National Medicines Policy document can be referred to for better understanding of strategies for participants to provide proposals.The template for the feedback and the draft Master Action Plan can be downloaded as below. All participants are requested to submit their feedback by 30th May 2009.
