Lifting Of The Need For A Pass In The Taiwan National Public Examination As A Criteria For Registration As Pharmacist In Malaysia

Starting from 20th October 2004, Malaysians who graduate from the three recognised Taiwan Universities do NOT need to pass the Taiwan National Public Examination in order to register as pharmacists with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia [PBM]. This means that one of the criteria for registration as pharmacists in Malaysia i.e. the requirement of a pass in the Taiwan National Public Examination has now been removed.

Background
Before 20th October 2004, Malaysians who graduated with a pharmacy degree from the 3 Taiwan Universities need to pass the Taiwan National Public Examination before they could register as pharmacists with the PBM in order for them to practice as registered pharmacists in Malaysia.
